1. Authorize your own account on Pinterest
In Sites, use the Pinterest connection control for the intended website. Autopubly opens Pinterest’s authorization page. Check which Pinterest account is signed in, review the requested permissions and approve the connection there. Autopubly does not ask for your Pinterest password.
- Use the account that owns or can publish to the intended board.
- If the connection expires, start a fresh authorization from Sites.
- Reconnecting may require you to select the board again.
2. Confirm the destination board
Check the connected username and choose the appropriate board. The board picker lets you search the boards returned by the connection. If the expected board is missing, check the account first; refreshing or reconnecting cannot make another account’s private destination yours.
3. Prepare a Pin that matches the article
Inspect the image, title, description and destination URL together. The image should make sense for the linked article, and the title should describe what a visitor will actually find. Avoid misleading promises, irrelevant keywords, duplicate submissions and claims that are not supported by the article.
- Use an image you own or have permission to publish.
- Check text in the image for readability and mistakes.
- Open the article link and confirm that it works without signing in.
- Do not link to a WordPress preview, draft or admin page.
4. Approve the individual Pin and choose its time
Connecting Pinterest does not publish content. Review the specific Pin and use its approval and scheduling action. Check the Calendar, destination board and time before confirming. Autopubly uses controlled release limits; these are product controls, not a promise that a platform will approve any content or volume.
5. Confirm the result on Pinterest
After the scheduled release, check the publishing status and open the resulting Pin on Pinterest when its link is available. Verify its board, image, description and article destination. A local draft or scheduled item is not proof that Pinterest has accepted the publication.
Handle errors without repeated posting
If a connection or permission error appears, resolve it before retrying. If a request times out, check whether the Pin already exists before submitting again. If an account restriction is reported by Pinterest, use Pinterest’s support and account controls; reconnecting is not a way to bypass a restriction.
Disconnect when you no longer need the integration
Use the Pinterest disconnect control in Autopubly’s account or site settings. This stops the connection from being used for new publishing. Removing access does not automatically delete Pins already published on Pinterest; manage those directly on Pinterest.
